Policies

ABC Educators Course Policy:

Courses start on time using ABC Educators clock which is set and synchronized to standard time. Students must arrive on time and be present for the entire class to receive certification. In accordance with The American Heart Association policies, if you arrive late and the course has begun, there will be no admittance. You may choose to purchase another course at full price or purchase a private course. Registrations that occur less than 24 hours in advance of class start date and time do not qualify for any refunds and all sales shall be deemed final.

ABC Educators Student Responsibility:

ABC Educators does not recommend or advise on which class a student is to enroll in. Due to the multiple employer requirements, all students need to check with their employer or school for advice on which course they are required to meet their needs of their employer or school. If a student signs up for a course multiple times, it is the student’s responsibility to cancel the course and will be counted as a cancellation and will follow the cancellation policy.

ABC Educators Key Code Policy:

July 1, 2015, the American Heart Association has contracted to outside distributors to issue key codes to training centers. ABC Educators as a training center for the American Heart Association has no control of the cost/technical support or refunds for key codes once distributed. Once a key code is issued through ABC Educators, it shall not be refunded.

ABC Educators Cancellation Policy:

Students will be refunded 50% of the course fee if they choose to cancel. Cancellation must be done 1 business day or more before the class in order to receive a partial refund. Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days.

ABC Educators Reschedule Policy:

There is a $20 fee for rescheduling. You may reschedule 1 time only and up to 1 business day prior to the class start date. There are no cancellations or refunds once a class has been rescheduled. All sales shall be final.

ABC Educators Book Policy:

You must have the current edition of the course book as you will need to study this material prior to the course. ACLS and PALS courses require a pre-test. Each book contains the weblink for each pre-test. No book sharing is allowed. BART students will receive their book the first day of class.

ABC Educators Late Registration Policy:

Please note there is a $15 late registration fee for registering less than 7 calendar days prior to a course. Payment must be received prior to the course. No walk-ins will be accepted the day of the course.

Recertification Course Policy:

You will be required to present a non-expired card at the time of sign in the day of your scheduled course. Absolutely no copies will be accepted. If you are a new provider or have a card that has expired, you must take the full certification class. If you have a current, NON-EXPIRED provider card, you are eligible to take the recertification course.

Group/Specialty Contracts Policy:

If a group/specialty contract cancels a class less than 7 business days in advance, there will be no refund and all sales will be deemed final. If the class is cancelled prior to 7 business days they will receive a 50% refund.
